드와이트 퍼로(Dwight Furrow)샌디에이고 메사대학(San Diego Mesa College) 철학교수. 윤리학, 미학, 정치철학 분야를 주로 연구하며, ‘공인와인전문가(CSW)’ 자격이 있는 와인 및 음식 전문가이기도 하다. 쓴 책으로는 본서 외에도 Against Theory: Continental and Analytic Challenges in Moral Philosophy(1995), Reviving the Left: The Need to Restore Liberal Values in America(2009), American Foodie: Taste, Art, and the Cultural Revolution(2016)이 있고, 이 밖에 편자로서 참여한 책으로 Moral Soundings: Readings on the Crisis of Values in Contemporary Life(2004)가 있다. 음식과 와인에 관한 Edible Arts라는 블로그를 운영한다. 대표작
